Sharan Rao perfect at DAV-Go Checkmate Rapid Rating Open 2025
IM Sharan Rao scored a perfect 6/6 to win DAV-Go Checkmate Rapid Rating Open 2025, part of International Chess Prix. Four players - IM Ricardo De Guzman (PHI), IM Zhaoqi Liu (CHN), WIM Isha Sharma and Jing Xi Jonathan Lee (SGP) scored 5/6 each. They secured second to fifth place respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund was SG$ 7500. The top two prizes were $300 and $112 along with a trophy each. The one-day six round rating tournament was organized by Go Checkmate Pte Ltd at DAV Hindi School in Singapore on 28th June 2025. This is Sharan's second tournament triumph of the year. Sharan's second triumph of the year
DAV-Go Checkmate International Chess Prix 2025 witnessed a total participation of 232 players - 10 in Category A: IM-norm, 62 in Category B: Classical Open, 70 in Category C: Rapid Rating Open, 80 in Category D: 19 in Under-8, 28 in Under-10, 15 in Under-12, and 18 in Under-14 & 18, 10 in Category E: Kindergarten. The International Chess Prix had a tournament for everyone. All kindergarten participants were given a trophy each.

A total of 70 players including three IMs and a WIM took part from ten countries across the world. The one-day six round rating tournament was organized by Go Checkmate Pte Ltd at DAV Hindi School in Singapore on 28th June 2025. The time control of the event was 15 minutes + 3 seconds increment per move.
