29th Tepe Sigeman & Co 2024 R4: Arjun draws with Korobov, both maintain their lead

by Shahid Ahmed - 30/04/2024

Arjun Erigaisi had a well contested draw against Anton Korobov (UKR) in the fourth round of 29th TePe Sigeman & Co Tournament 2024. Both Arjun and Korobov are still in the lead 3/4. Vincent Keymer (GER) went wrong early in the middlegame against Wenjun Ju (CHN). He managed to recover, however, he needed to find a precise defense in the endgame which he couldn't and eventually lost his game. Nodirbek Abdusattorov (UZB) simply annihilated Nils Grandelius' (SWE) kingside, after the latter could not anticipate his opponent' attack correctly. Arjun will face Keymer in Round 5. It starts tomorrow Wednesday 1st May at 3 p.m. local time, 6:30 p.m. IST. Photo: Mikael Svensson/tepesigemanchess.com
